Mark Kuhn
Director of Communications and Web Development

As Director of Communications and Web Development for the Office of Undergraduate Studies, Mark Kuhn is responsible for the development, production, and oversight of web, social media, email, print, and other public communications for the Office of Undergraduate Studies. Also, he works in close collaboration with other units in Undergraduate Studies in meeting their communication needs; assists the Undergraduate Studies Director of Development in the production of communication materials (print, web, and email) for fundraising, alumni communications and outreach; and develops print materials and assists in other public communication efforts (presentations, newsletters, posters, and video) for the Office of Undergraduate Studies.

Prior to coming to the University of Maryland, he worked on web development and content for the Commission on Presidential Debates, New Hampshire Public Radio, National Public Radio, Tufts University, Endicott College, the Weather Notebook, the American Art Therapy Association, and the University of New Hampshire. He was a full-time faculty member in Communication at the University of New Hampshire, the University of Maine, and in Cross-Cultural Education at the University of Alaska. At Endicott College he was a faculty member and the Director of Academic Technology. His publications, presentations, and media presentations have focused on political communication and on digital media. He received his doctorate and masters degrees in education from Harvard University, and a bachelors degree in journalism from Fordham University.
