Who Can Apply: Authorized to work in the U.S.; A minimum of bachelor's degree by the start of the program; Fluency in English; GPA of 3.0 or higher; have never been certified to teach in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico.

Description:The NYC Teaching Fellows program is one of the country’s largest and most selective alternative teacher preparation programs. As a Fellow, you’ll train in NYC classrooms, working one-on-one with experienced coaches to get the feedback you need to become a talented teacher, ready to make a profound difference for NYC’s students.

Program Preferences: There is no one profile of an ideal candidate. A strong candidate may have built a successful career in business or engineering and now wishes to give back as a teacher. They could be a high-achieving recent graduate who majored in economics or physics who now wants to share their passion for these subjects with NYC students. Whatever their background, they believe that every student can achieve at a high-level and will do whatever it takes to help them get there.
