Description: Global Health Corps (GHC) aims to mobilize a global community of emerging leaders to build the movement for health equity. GHC works to strengthen this movement by recruiting, training, and supporting the movement’s future leaders, diversifying the pool of young people working in global health, and amplifying the impact of individuals through the formation of a strong community of leaders. GHC provides opportunities for young professionals from diverse backgrounds to work on the frontlines of the fight for global health equity in year-long fellowships. GHC fellows have a measurable impact on the health of the communities in which they work, and draw upon that experience and the GHC alumni network to deepen their impact throughout their careers.

Fellows work in a year-long paid position with a manager at the partner organization who provides guidance and support. Fellows are currently working in Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, and Zambia.

Award Amount: GHC fellows are provided with stipends to cover all travel, living and work expenses, and health insurance for the duration of the Fellowship. All fellows may also apply during their fellowship year for professional development funds of up to $600. Upon successful completion of the fellowship year, all fellows receive a completion award of $1,500.

Duration: The commitment is 13 months – from mid-July to mid-August.

National Deadline: January 13, 2021; application opens 12/2/20
