DAAD Study Scholarship

Who Can Apply: Students in their last year of undergraduate studies at an accredited U.S. or Canadian university; U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents; Recent BA/BS or MA/MS graduates who completed their last degree no longer than 6 years ago; see website for other requirements.

Description: Highly qualified final year undergraduate students or those who have received an undergraduate degree of all disciplines may apply for the DAAD Study Scholarship for a full Master's degree program at a German university or for study at a German university as part of a postgraduate or Master's degree program completed in the home country.

Postgraduate Studies in Artistic Fields: Please see specific guidelines for artistic fields.

Award Amount: Recipients will be awarded a monthly stipend--the payment depends on the applicant's academic qualifications. See here for details. Other benefits include payments toward health, accident and personal liability insurance cover; travel subsidy, unless these expenses are covered by another source of funding; one-off study allowance; additional services such as free online language German courses. plus additional funds to help defray travel and research expenses as well as health insurance.

Duration: Between 10 and 24 months, depending on the length of the chosen study program.
